Connecting to the GrassValley K2 over Remote Desktop can sometimes have connection issues which can be confusing. Here are the most common issues and the solutions to fix them.
¶ Connection Problems and Solutions
For all connection issues, you can reconnect to the K2 while recording or in playback without issue. We recommend this as the first step in troublshooting any K2 connectivity issues.
- Cause — Another computer connected to the K2. Only one can be connected at one time.
- Solution — Use the other computer that's connected to the K2, or reconnect to the K2 on the computer that lost connection.
- Cause — Unknown error maintaining connection to the K2.
- Solution — Reconnect to the K2.
¶ We couldn't connect to the remote PC. Make sure the PC is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled.
- Cause — Cannot connect to the K2.
- Solution — K2 hasn't fully booted. Wait about five minutes after turning the device on; or the Mac has not connected to the network. Test that you can get onto the Internet and, if you can, try connecting to another device on your network, such as the DE or a Kumo router.
