The Production Sync utility is currently being rewritten to support Windows and macOS devices. The documentation below is for devices running macOS.
Every computer with ProPresenter 7 has a standard content update script, which pull content from the Central Production Dropbox and moves it into ProPresenter.
A full Content and Library update should be run every Sunday after Dropbox has fully synced.
The Services folder under the campus Dropbox folder is copied to the user Documents folder.
This process can be manually completed by copying the Services folder from the Dropbox folder (Dropbox / Services
) to the Documents folder (Documents
).
The Copy Content script does have a few configuration options that can be used. This uses the typical Apple plist format in the com.highlandsproduction.copycontent
namespace, which can be edited using defaults
.
defaults write com.highlandsproduction.copycontent initial -bool True
defaults write com.highlandsproduction.copycontent stage -bool False
defaults write com.highlandsproduction.copycontent messages -bool False
defaults write com.highlandsproduction.copycontent motion -bool False
defaults write com.highlandsproduction.copycontent spanish -bool True
Option | Type | Default Value | Description |
---|---|---|---|
stage | bool | True | Copy the stage configuration file on sync. Any local updates will be destroyed on update. If set to False, stage configuration will not be copied. |
initial | bool | False | Copies the initial configuration found in the Initial folder and deletes stock items. |
messages | bool | True | Copy the messages configuration (default child numbers and countdown) |
motion | bool | True | Copies the Motion Night folder. |
spanish | bool | False | Copies the Spanish library. |
The library copy update does the following:
Themes under Central should never be updated, as they'll be replaced after running the update.
To complete this manually, first backup your ProPresenter folder (Documents / ProPresenter
) and then merge the ProPresenter folder from the Services folder (Documents / Services / ProPresenter
) to the one in the user Documents folder (Documents / ProPresenter
).
This will not delete user-created lyrics files and may replace all lyrics files with the content on Dropbox. Use this method with caution.
On a new Pro7 install that’s never run the script, the follow is run (this is only done one time):
Script-Highlands-V1
If the
Script-Highlands-V1
file is deleted all of the initial configuration will be done again.
The folder structure located on Dropbox under Services
is copied to the Documents folder. Within that folder are the following folders:
In the next sections, we'll cover what's located within this structure.
Any content that is used in a service is added to this folder. This folder contains the full jumpback library, communion videos, and any special videos.
All audio content used for a service is located here.
This folder does not contain everything in the Service Playlist folder that is shared by the Audio team.
All graphic content and videos are located here. This folder is split apart by campus screen types:
All ProPresenter configuration files that are reset on sync.
The Initial directory is used for the first script run. It contains initial configuration. It initializes the configuration for:
This folder contains apps we use, scripts, and fonts we use.
The following are the standards we use.
